Signs of Autumn

GOURDS,
used for floats by early Africans, are believed to have drifted across the ocean
and taken root in South America.
INDIAN CORN was originally a staple in the diet of
the American Indian.
PUMPKINS were first baked by early North American
colonists by slicing off the top, removing the seeds, and filling the inside
with milk, spices, and honey, and then burying the stuffed pumpkin in hot ashes.

There certainly are fewer homes on the Metro Phoenix market today than
there were a year ago
–
which is good news, because it means the market is stabilizing.
While the majority of Valley homes for sale continue to be foreclosures
and properties well-suited to first-time homebuyers, the climate is
perfect for move-up buyers. Folks looking to move up to homes in the $300K
to $750K range are starting to get more active, as they find some
unbelievable buys!
This market report shows all the active listings for the three largest
markets in the Valley: Phoenix, Scottsdale, and Mesa, from September 14 to
October 14, 2009. If you’d like more info on any aspect of the Valley
market, just give me a call!
